Is Monster Hunter: World Split-Screen?
Playing Monster Hunter: World with friends is a fine time, but players want to know if they can split-screen it, old-school style.
Monster Hunter: World is one of the best games of 2018, and as more people flock to it, the question of playing with friends is always going to crop up. Playing split-screen with others has been a long-time feature of most console games, but whether or not it’s possible in Monster Hunter: World is another thing.
Is Monster Hunter World Split-Screen?
Unfortunately, the answer of whether Monster Hunter: World is split-screen is a resounding “no”. There is no way to play Monster Hunter: World split-screen with another person on the same console. This means that players who wish to hunt monsters with one another will need two separate consoles, individual accounts, and two copies of the game – whether that’s digital or physical is up to them.
Playing co-op with a friend is no easy task either. Players will need to jump through a few hoops to play co-op, but the effort is well worth the outcome, as hunting monsters becomes significantly easier with more players.
So while the dream of playing Monster Hunter: World split-screen has been dashed, at least it offers some form of co-operative mode. Who knows, perhaps the time the PC version of the game rolls around, the developers might find a way to make it split-screen, but I wouldn’t hold your breath.
